[A post that received hints of inappropriateness at What is our work?]
A general comment in the name of “self-organization” and “emergence”.
There
is a certain type of vitally important communication that can take place only in small groups with minimal facilitation (keeping the group on task, but no time limit, and recording outcomes to ensure convergence with other similar teams)—something on the lines of open space meeting technologies.
I am reminded of two principles—in the Stephen Covey sense—by two icons:
This means to me that most of the work (cc 80%) goes into preparing for the actual work if it is to be successful.
I think this is relevant here, though it may be less apparent to others. I put it out because I have participated in many groups
that failed to achieve the
